Turlock, California – Judith Lynne Anderson passed away on her 77th birthday, November 9th, in Turlock, California.

Judy, as most knew her, was born in Turlock, California, to parents George and Ruth Howard.  She and her two sisters Julie and Georgia enjoyed their childhood growing up in Turlock.  Judy attended Turlock High School and, after graduation, worked for various businesses in Turlock and San Francisco.

During her high school years, Judy met her future husband, Lance, and they married in January of 1965.  They established their home in Turlock where they raised their four sons. The house was always open to friends and family, especially her four grandchildren. Judy was blessed with incredible friends, for whom she and Lance enjoyed hosting dinner parties.

Judy loved reading, playing golf, playing games, and spending time in the garden.  She was an outstanding cook, and loved to share her culinary skills with her children, and watch them prepare meals in her kitchen.  She also had a passion for traveling.  Together with Lance, Judy ventured to many wonderful locations, enjoying journeys to Sweden, Argentina, Machu Picchu, Japan, South Africa, and Italy (to name a few).  She also reveled in making memories on family trips throughout the western states, and spending time at vacation homes in Dorrington and Cabo San Lucas.

Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her son Greg and her sister Georgia Gloeckler.  She is survived by her husband Lance; her sons Chris (Constance), Chad (Bettan), and Kyle (Tammy) Anderson, and her grandchildren Hunter, Montana, Jack, and Emma.  She also leaves behind her sister Julie (Rod) Nylund and her brother-in-law Bill Gloeckler.

A gathering to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 30, at 11:00 a.m. at The Grand Oak (1450 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock).  In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a contribution in Judy’s honor to a charity special to you.
