Judith Marie Stapleton, 69, of Denair, passed away on Jan. 13. She was born in April 1941 in Minneapolis, Minn. She moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. as a young child. She graduated from high school in 1960, and went on to become an airline attendant. She later worked in collections for 25 years. In 1994, she moved to California to be closer to her family. 

Judy enjoyed her family and friends. Her friendships were very dear to her and she found true joy in her grandchildren. She always called them her “precious moments.” She will be missed dearly. 

Judith is survived by her husband of 34 years, William Stapleton of Denair; daughter, Allison (Matt) Gidden of Turlock; grandchildren, Jeremy, Aubrey, Zachary and Autumn Gidden of Turlock; brother, Jon(Sherry) McNitt of Little Rock, Ark.;  and sister, Kimberly Langley of Mariposa. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Videen; and her parents, Elizabeth and Daniel McNitt. 

Private services will be held at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella at a later date.
