Julia Azevedo Da Silva passed away at Emanuel Medical Center with her family at her side at the age of 67. She was born in San Jorge, Acores, to parents Jose Vitorino Da Silva and Maria Azevedo. On October 6, 1962 she married Humberto Manuel Da Silva. They came to America with their two daughters and finally settling in Gustine, California where she has resided for the last 33 years.
Julia enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, gardening, cooking and her most recent addition to the family her pride and joy puppy Kiley. She was a member of Y.L.I. #151 St. Augustine in Gustine, Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Altar Society member and parishioner for 33 years. Julia had a passion for people; along with this passion came the loving care that she gave to those whom she cared for in her numerous years as a Care giver for the elderly. Julia is survived by her husband of 48 years, Humberto, Daughters, Nisa (Kelly) Cox of Delhi, Dina Brindeiro of Hilmar, Four Grandchildren, Mark, Luke and John brindeiro of Hilmar and Sarah Cox of Delhi, Two sisters Filomena Almada and Balbina Almada of San Jorge, Acores. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and many friends. Julia was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Maria Pedroso. Julia will be deeply missed by all who knew her and especially by her family. You will always be in our hearts and missed daily until we meet again in heaven. Visitation- 5PM-7PM, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Shrine Our Lady of Miracles,370 Linden Ave, Gustine with a Rosary at 7PM, Mass- 10AM, Monday, August 1, 2011 at Shrine Our Lady of Miracles. Burial will be in Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd. Turlock.
