Kathryn Lois Duncanson was born and raised near Curlew, Iowa. She attended McPherson College in Kansas, where she met her husband, Harold Duncanson.
They lived in Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa before moving to Stanislaus County with her family in 1953.
Kathryn was a long-time dedicated first grade teacher for the Stanislaus Union School District. She was secretary for the Memorial Society of Stanislaus County for years. As a dedicated and involved member of the Modesto Church of the Brethren, she served as chair of the Christian Education Commission, taught Sunday school classes, and Bible school. She and her husband also provided housing and support for many needy persons in their home.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Harold; her daughter, Karleen Daniels; son, Ronald Duncanson; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Modesto Church of the Brethren, 2301 Woodland Ave., Modesto.
