Kenneth Ray Lowe, 74, of Modesto, finished his long battle with MS and went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, on Dec. 5. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Allen Mortuary, 247 North Broadway in Turlock. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 at Shelter Cove, 4242 Coffee Rd., Modesto.
Ken was born on July 7, 1935 in Heavener, Okla. He served as a medic in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962, and then continued in the Army Reserves until 1964. He became a minister and lived a life devoted to God and his family.
Ken is survived by his wife of 48 years, Velda; daughter, Judy Naber of Nipomo; sons, Leon Rumbaugh, Danny Lowe and Jon Lowe of Modesto; grandchildren, Misty Kragie, Tyson Anderson, Brytni Naber, Sarenity Naber, Desiree Ramirez, Sofronia Rameriz, Caleb Lowe, Micayla Lowe, Joshua Lowe, and Keaton Lowe; great grandchildren, Krislyn Kragie, Peyton Kragie, Maegan Kragie and Aubrey Waxler; and sisters, Peggy Davis of Yuba City and Margie Squires of Gridley. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelsi Austin Lowe.
