Lawrence Sylvester Carlton entered his heavenly home after a 7-month battle with cancer.

He was born in Goshen, CA to Onnie & Rachel Carlton.  He graduated from Kelso High School in 1959 and then attended Lower Columbia College before joining the U.S. Navy in 1960, where he was a radar technician.  While stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Base he met and married Barbara Johnson.  After discharge he repaired office machines and later became a truck driver.  He was a member of Monte Vista Chapel.

Carl is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Larry (Wileen) and Steve (Karen); grandsons Matthew, Aaron, Collin, Colby & Cameron; and three great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Loretta (Ray) Schmidt and Linda (Ken) Scott.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jim.

A memorial service will be held at Covenant Village Berg Hall, 2125 N. Olive Ave., Turlock, CA on Sat., 12/27/2014 at 2:00p.m.
