Leroy “Yogi” Youngquist passed away suddenly April 9th. Yogi was born in Turlock on April 12, 1941. He was a graduate of Turlock High School’s class of 1959, and SF State University. He was a proud Army veteran. In 1963 he was stationed in Panama as a news broadcaster with the Southern Command Network. In 1994, he moved to Idaho where he continued to work in the paint and home improvement business before retiring. He was an encyclopedia of gardening knowledge, enjoyed all things outdoors, and never gave up his love for the San Francisco 49ers or Giants. He is survived by his daughters Susan Youngquist and Heidi Youngquist of Sacramento, Ca. He will be missed by so many.
