Lillian Mae Dick of Montague, passed away at Siskiyou Springs Assisted Living in Yreka on Friday, January 21, 2022. She was 94 years old.

Lillian was born on April 25, 1927 to George and Elizabeth (Seibert) Doerksen at the family home in Denair, California. Lillian grew up and went to school in Denair, and after graduating high school, she attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.

Lillian married the love of her life, Keithal Buford Dick on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950. Over the next nine years they welcomed a son (Jere) and two daughters (Jonnie and Julie) into their home. Keithal and Lillian celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in April of 2017, shortly before Keithal’s passing in January of 2018.

Lillian spent her career as a nurse. Never confined to one location, she worked as an OB nurse in a couple clinics, an intake nurse for a mental institution, a nurse for the pilot MediCal project, and later at Beverly Manor in Yreka. Lillian and the family moved to Siskiyou County in 1979 for Keithal’s work.

Lillian enjoyed riding horses and going on pack trips, as well as quilting, planting trees, and cooking, in particular, German food and her famous cinnamon rolls.

Lillian loved the Lord and her family. She was a member of the Yreka Nazarene Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship and friends made over the years.

Lillian leaves behind her son, Jere (Myrna) Dick of Columbia Falls, Montana; daughters, Jonnie York of Denair and Julie (Paul) Weisman of Montague; grandchildren Travis (Sarah) Dick, Jamie (Scott) Wise, Wayne York, Suzy (Emmanuel) Slade, Andrew (Danielle) York, Brittany (Travis) Simas, Christy Barnett, Shawna (Dustin) O’Hare; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, February 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Yreka Church of the Nazarene (415 Evergreen Lane, Yreka), Pastor Jon Fitzpatrick to officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend. A second service will be held in Turlock, at the Connecting Point Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Randy Benefiel officiating.
