Lillian passed peacefully on Friday morning, July 7, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 85. She was born to Salvador and Juanita Alvarado in Modesto, California. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved caring for her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Salvador and Juanita Alvarado, and by her loving husband of 65 years, Chris Rangel. Lillian was a loving and devoted mother to her 4 children: Carmen (Rev. Richard) Hernandez of Denver, CO., Rachel (Antonio) Cebreros of Turlock, CA., Henry (Carol) Rangel of Ceres, CA. and Elena (Mark) Meier of Visalia, CA. and loving grandma of twelve grandchildren: Jorge Rangel, Richard Brian Hernandez, Jonathan BJ Hernandez, Guillerma Lillian Garvey, Victor Manuel Cebreros, Curtis Henry Rangel, Maegen Ray Rangel, Ellen Rene Rangel, Rev. Juan Andres Barnett, Melissa JoAnn Barker, Heather Kay Andrews and Stephanie Renee Barnett and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Lillian’s life will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, California. Viewing will be from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Graveside will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Please share your memories at  www.AllenMortuary.com
