Loren David Coelho went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at the age of 43, as a result of a tragic farming accident. 

Loren was born in Santa Maria, CA. to Otto and Jo Ann Coelho. He was raised in Modesto and Turlock CA. and was a Turlock High School graduate with the class of 1989. He went on to attend California State University, Fresno, where he completed his BA in Agricultural Science in 1997. Loren started working as a pest control advisor for Helena Chemical Co. in Modesto right out of college.  He went on to work for Ripon Farm Service, and was most recently employed at Wilbur Ellis Co. He loved everything about his career; as well as farming his own property. 

To say Loren was a hard worker would be an understatement. He was passionate about anything related to agriculture and loved being involved in the Ag community. He was a big part of the 4-H program at Sacred Heart in Turlock, and supported Turlock FFA. 

Loren met and married the love of his life, Staci Ralls, in 1999. They have 3 beautiful children and as a family loved vacationing at Pismo Beach and Yosemite. Loren was involved in all of his children’s activities: baseball, basketball and dance. He coached sports teams, played catch in the back yard and danced in the living room. He cherished and adored his children with all his heart. 

Loren is survived by his wife, Staci Ralls Coelho; his children: Owen, Holden and Addison Coelho; his brothers: Otto Coelho III of Woodland, Damon (Marci) Coelho of Turlock, and Derek (Lisa) Coelho of Turlock; sisters: Debra Coelho of San Francisco, Brenda (Paul) Rocha of Modesto, Traci (Adam) Pickar of Madera, and Kimberly (John) Luck of Altadena; mother, Jo Ann Coelho of Modesto;  father, Otto (Claudette) Coelho of Madera; mother and father in-law, Tom and Kathy Ralls ,of Modesto; grandmother, Maxine Baker also of Modesto; 7 nieces and 7 nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto and Alice Coelho of Hilmar. 

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave. Hughson, CA. on Sunday, Jan. 18th. Visitation will begin at 4 pm with recitation of the Rosary at 6:30pm. 

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, Jan. 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock, followed by graveside committal at Lakewood Memorial Park. 

The reception and celebration of Loren’s life will be held at the Turlock Pentecost Hall. Remembrances in honor of Loren may be directed to The Loren Coelho Children Education Fund c/o Rabobank, 2190 Monte Vista Avenue, Turlock, CA 95382.
