Luis Alberto Belo, 53, of Half Moon Bay passed away on Jan. 2, 2011 in Half Moon Bay.

He was born in Riberia Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores and was a truck driver for 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Pillar of Half Moon Bay, past president of I.D.E.S. of Half Moon Bay, Portuguese Culture Center of Half Moon Bay and Brotherhood of St. Anthony of Half Moon Bay. He enjoyed camping, soccer games and going to Portuguese dinners.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadete Belo of Half Moon Bay; mother, Odelta Belo of Half Moon Bay; daughters, Shelsie Belo and Ashley Belo, both of Half Moon Bay; and brother, John Belo of Half Moon Bay.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7 at Our Lady of Pillar Church, 540 Kelly St., Half Moon Bay. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, also at  Our Lady of Pillar Church. It will be officiated by Gabriel Flores.

A  Mass is scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 8 at Our Lady of Pillar in Half Moon Bay. It will be officiated by Father Domingo Orimaco. Burial will be at Our Lady of Pillar Cemetery, 980 Miramontes Ave., Half Moon Bay.
