Mabel Linhares, 92 of Turlock, passed away Sunday at Brandel Manor in Turlock.  She was born in Turlock and raised in Turlock. After she graduated Turlock High School she married William Linhares.  She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock and Our Lady of Fatima.  She received many ribbons from the Stanislaus County Fair on her cooking and gardening expos. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Matheron of Hilmar; and brother, Albert Souza of Fair Oaks, CA. Mabel also leaves behind her caregiver Frank W. Mello of Turlock. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Linhares and her son at birth, baby Davey Linhares. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 4pm to 6pm at Allen Mortuary. Rosary and Mass combination will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 starting at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock.
