Maria Dolores Castañeda, 85, was born in Mexico to Valentin and Francisca Castañeda. She resided in the Delhi area for 38 years.
Maria was a very devoted Catholic, much of her life was spent serving Christ and nurturing and caring for her family. Maria loved to travel and each year she would travel to Mexico, making sure to stop and spend time with each and every family member along the way. These annual trips were the highlight of her life in the later years. When Maria wasn’t traveling, some of her greatest hobbies were sewing, stitching and reading. Her family and God where the focal point of her life.
Maria is survived by her children, Silveria Castañeda and Juan Alamilla; siblings, Nicolas Garcia, Epifanio Garcia, Rejino Castañeda and Embrocio Garcia; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25 at Allen Mortuary.  Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Allen Mortuary.
