Marian Louise Wilson passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at the age of 95. Marian was born, February 22, 1926, in Turlock, CA. She attended kindergarten, grammar school and Turlock High School, graduating in 1944. After her graduation, she went on to attend Samuel Merritt Nursing School in Oakland, receiving her Registered Nursing Degree.
She married Wayne Robert Wilson on February 14, 1948, and lived for a brief time in Placerville, returning to Turlock where she would stay for the remainder of her days. Marian and Wayne were blessed with three children, Reagan, Vickie and Randy.
Her nursing education took her onward to Stanislaus State University, where she obtained her BS Degree. She was a Registered Nurse for 50 years, Director of Nursing at both Turlock Community Hospital and Memorial Hospital in Ceres. She then helped start the LVN Nursing program at Modesto Junior College, and taught there for 22 years before retiring. She was considered by all who knew her to be kind, considerate and compassionate, and a great teacher.
Marian was a member of the First Christian Church in Turlock and sang in the choir. That was truly one of her passions. She was also a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi International and her local Chapter of Preceptor Iota Lambda.
She is survived by her son, Reagan (Sherry), her daughter, Vickie (Judy) and her sister, Carol Jean (Terry). She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Joshua, Alexis and Amber, and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Wilson and Violet. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Wayne and son, Randy, along with three sisters and one brother.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021. The Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021. All services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Graveside interment will follow the funeral service.
