Mark was born in Chicago, Ill. to James and Lorraine Long. The family moved to Long Beach in 1957, and then to Turlock in 1962. He lived in Ceres when he passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He retired from the USDA in 2008, and enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Legg of Turlock and Jennifer Long of Elk City, Okla.; brothers, Jim Long, Larry Long, Skip Long and Benchley Long of Turlock; mother, Lorraine Long of Turlock; grandson, Justin Legg; and two great grandsons, Colby and Julian of Turlock.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 30 and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
