Mary Delores Cancimilla, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home in Turlock. She was born September 24, 1924, at Emanuel Hospital, to Frank and Mary Silva; she was the first of eight children. Mary grew up going to Hilmar Schools until, as a teenager, she had to start helping support her family working on their dairy. While working, she first saw her future husband, Thomas Frank Cancimilla, riding his bicycle past the dairy and on April 8, 1945 they were wed. They were happily married 61 years, until his death in 2006.

Mary was a loving wife and mother to her eight children. She loved to garden, and liked animals, raising sheep and cows on the farm, and dogs and cats. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Silva, husband, Thomas F. Cancimilla, and her siblings, Joe, David, John, Rosie, Madeline, and Margaret. She is survived by her children, Delores Pascoal, Annie Henson, Richard Cancimilla, Shirley Sarnowsky, Tom Cancimilla Jr., Joe Cancimilla, Danny Cancimilla, and Mary DeMattos, fourteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her sister, Maryann Moles.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 17, with a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and service at 12:00 p.m.,  at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., in Turlock.
