Mary R. Hayes passed away peacefully on Jan. 13, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.
Mary was born in Crescent City, Calif. and lived in the Turlock area most of her life. She worked 20 years for the Mercantile Store and seven years for Camara’s Clothier, both in Turlock. She enjoyed RV traveling and was a member of Ave Regina #200, Young Ladies Institute, SES, UPEC, UPPEC, Shurafa RV Club and Valley Tractor Pullers Association.
Mary was the beloved wife (21 years) of Clinton Hayes. She is also survived by her daughter, Helen Roehlk and step-daughter, Gail Lindbeck, both of Denair; grandchildren, Robert (Debbi) Roehlk of Hanford, Chris (Jackie) Roehlk of Modesto, Michael (Laura) Roehlk of Manteca, Michael (Sarah) Hayes of Denair, Josh (Natalie) Hayes of Hilmar, Matt Hayes of Turlock, Tracy (Curtis) Capps of Exeter, Kevin (Kelly) Lindbeck of Yuba City, Scott Lindbeck of Carson City, Nev. and Jason Hayes of Sebastopol; and 14 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose Toste; brother, Frank L. Toste; step-sons, Dennis Hayes and Richard Hayes; and first husband, Tony Pacheco.
Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17 at Allen Mortuary. Rosary/mass service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 18 at All Saints Catholic Church, 4040 McKenna.
