He was born in San Jose, Calif. to Gordon and Kathryn Karp in 1967. Mike lived in the Bay Area most of his life until moving to Escalon in 2006. He enjoyed BMXs, motorcycles, quads, cooking and going to concerts. Mike was a sports fanatic. Family was his life.

Mike is survived by his wife, Tammey Karp of Escalon; children, Amanda Palicio, Jose Palicio and Christopher Karp, all of San Jose, and Courtney Karp and Mykayla Karp, both of Escalon; mother, Kathryn Karp of Turlock; and siblings, Jim Karp, Cheryl Barret and Frank Karp.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Karp; and brother, Ed Karp.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Escalon Covenant Church.
