Mildred Horney, 99, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehab. Center. Mildred was born in El Reno, Oklahoma. She graduated from High School in 1932. Mildred married Gailard Horney in 1964. They were married 47 years before his passing in 2011. Mildred worked for many years as a secretary. She loved volunteering at the Riverbank United Methodist Church, Memorial Hospital, and the Riverbank food bank. She and Gailard loved square dancing, and enjoyed gardening. 

Mildred is survived by two children: Larry (Danice) Yeakel and Carol Goldsmith; grandchildren: Pam Goldsmith, Frank Goldsmith and Rhonda (Keith) Watts; step-children Gaylord Horney and Leanne DuBois; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, November 27th from 3 to 5 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon at 10 am on Monday, November 28th.
