Milton Sabanovich

Milton Sabanovich was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He passed away this past week after battling a long illness.  Milt was born in the winter of 1941 to William and Esther Sabanovich in Galveston, Texas and grew up with his brother Steve.

Milt was a quiet man but when he spoke everyone listened as it was always important.  He was a store director for Albertson’s for over 30 years.  His quick wit and sense of humor was quirky which always kept everyone guessing.  Milt loved to travel, taking his wife Judy all over the world.  He also enjoyed making travel plans for other people, so much so that he started his own travel agency.  Milt also had his pilot license and he and Judy, along with Eldine, would volunteer to cook meals for the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds during their air shows in Monterey.

Most of all Milt loved his family.  The family would like to thank the Turlock Police Department and volunteers for all they have done.  They would also thank Cory and Michelle Lewis for their love, support and friendship.

Milt will be deeply missed by his wife Judy; daughter and son-in-law Shelly Sabanovich-Benson and Steve Benson; grandson Zackery Adams; brother Steve Sabanovich and sister-in-law Peggy Sabanovich.  Milt was preceded in death by his parents.

A Viewing will be held from 4-7 pm, Friday October 13, 2017.  Funeral services will be held Saturday October 14, 2017 at 10 am, both at Allen Mortuary located at 247 N Broadway, Turlock, CA 95380.  His final resting place will be at Turlock Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Turlock Police Department Volunteer program in Milt’s name:  Turlock Police Volunteers in Police Services, Attn: Lieutenant Cervenka, 244 N Broadway Turlock, CA 95380.
