Natalie Marie Santiago passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Modesto, CA. She was 75 years old. 

Natalie was born and raised in Turlock, CA to Alex and Emily Silvera and graduated from Sacramento State University. She married Eduardo Santiago on July 21, 1967 in Los Angeles. Although they divorced, they remained good friends their entire lives. Natalie taught for Turlock Unified School District as an elementary teacher up until her retirement in 2003. In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing and canning. 

Natalie was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Christina. She is survived by her son, Alex Santiago of Turlock; her sister, Kathy Weeden of Turlock; and her grandsons Lucas and Isaias Santiago of Turlock. 

A visitation will be held at 12 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m., on Monday, September 17, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Natalie’s honor to the Salvation Army at give.salvationarmyusa.org.
