Norman C. Boberg
July 1932 March 2010
Norman C. Boberg passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday at the age of 77.
Norman was born in Oakland to parents, Arthur and Petrine Boberg, in July 1932. He proudly served in the Air Force as an aircraft electrician for four years, and soon after earned his BS in Electrical Engineering in 1957. After working for Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he met his wife Dorothy, he soon moved with his family to Turlock where he worked for 29 years as an electrical department manager at Turlock Irrigation District.
Norman was married to Dorothy for 48 years. He was a devoted family man who looked forward to the many family gatherings, the annual summer vacations at Lake Tahoe, and avidly followed his Oakland Raiders.
Daddy will be truly missed by his daughters, Karen (Kevin) Kinast, Kirsten (Thomas) Jarocki and Nadine (John) Dunn; as well as his grandchildren, Jeff, Nicholas, Katherine, Mark, Thomas, John Patrick, Anne, Matthew, Michael, Madeline and Amelie.
Norman will be remembered for his patriotism, love for his country, his kindness, exceptional generosity and his ability to fix anything his family asked him to fix and articulately explain how and why.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 26 at Sacred Heart Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Internment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Family Practice, 1700 McHenry Village Way, Ste. 2, Modesto, CA 95350  (a non-profit for the delivery of free health care, consistent with the Catholic tradition).
