Oliver Pollinger, 57, of Knights Ferry, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. He was born in Turlock, grew up in Delhi, and graduated from Livingston High School in 1971. He worked for 32 years as a warehouse supervisor for Weyerhauser Paper Company. During this same time he also worked as a farmer, raising grapes on 40 acres and helping with the harvest every year. Oliver was very active, serving as a volunteer fireman with the Delhi Fire Department, and he also found time for target shooting, wood-cutting, and camping. He married his wife, Tami Pollinger, in October 1999. His family and friends will miss his active life, his great smile, and his bright mind.
Oliver is survived by his wife, Tami Pollinger of Knights Ferry; daughter, Tamra Pollinger (Brandon Webb)  of Carrolton, Texas; son, Jason (Wendy) Pollinger of Keyes; brothers, Bernard Pollinger of Hollister and Patrick Pollinger of Delhi; step-son, Jason Figura of Oakdale; and step-daughter, Jennifer Figura of Empire.
There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Oliver at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21 at Allen Mortuary.
