Parmodh was born in Wailasi, Naitasiri, Fiji to his parents Shiu Ram and Sumintara Devi. He later moved to the United States. He was a priest “pundit” and member of the Northern Sikh Temple and the Ram Nam Mandir Temple. He was a very religious person and he loved music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved making memories with his loving grandchildren.
Parmodh is survived by his wife, Nirmala of Hughson; children, Pravina Sharma of Carmel, Urmilla Nair, Radhika Sharma and Sanjay Prasad, all of Seaside, Calif. and Sareeta Aguil of Ridgecrest, Calif.; siblings, Ajay Gir, Chandrika Prasad, Bijendra Prasad, Lila Ram Jee, Manjula Prasad, Daya Prasad, Rajin Gir and Naren Gir; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 32 years, Maya Wati Prasad.
