Patricia (Pat) Lou Leach

Patricia (Pat) Lou Leach, passed away on January 14, at the age of 85. She was born March 17, 1936, in Great Falls Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Frederick R Leach. 

She was raised in Geraldine Montana on a wheat farm; a middle child of 5 siblings. At eighteen she attended college to work for her teaching credential. Her first teaching job was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by wheat fields, two hours from the nearest town. She later moved back to Geraldine to teach where she met her husband, Frederick Leach. They were married in 1961 and moved to Cutbank Montana where they taught for another 3 years. In 1962 their son was born. In 1964 they moved to California, so that he could start his new teaching position. A few years later their daughter was born in 1966. Pat continued her education at Stanislaus State College to get her California teaching credential. She never used her teaching credential, but instead oversaw the raising of their children and the farm. She was very active in her kids’ lives and was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. She and her late husband were Blue Diamond Almond growers for 44 years. 

She leaves a son Scott (Karen) Leach of Denair California and her daughter Julie (John) Brandt of Lincoln California. She has seven grandchildren, Kerrilyn, Samuel, Patrick, Erin, Emalie, Rachel, William and one great grandchild. Her sister-in-law Arlete (Paul) Bolduan of Minnesota.
