Patrick Gary Kelley, 83, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on March 17, 1942, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he spent most of his life in California with his wife, Betty Ellen Helnore, raising their four children.

A devoted family man, Patrick was known for his generosity, love of gardening, and watching football with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality. In his youth, he joined the Army National Guard, boxed and raced motorcycles. He remained active well into his eighties.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty and twin brother Mike. He is survived by his four children, William Helnore, Jr, Sheril Hernandez, Lori Medeiros, Christine Ortiz and 34 grandchildren, sister Carlene Smothers, and brother Stan Taylor.

He was cherished by his family and fondly remembered as “Pops.” He was the epitome of the saying “Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.” We love you Pops and know you’re happy to be with Noni. Until we see you again, rest in Peace.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home, with visitation from 9:00–11:00 am, a service at 11:00 am in the Small Chapel, and interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park Cemetery.
