Pedro Gomez, 68, of Ceres, died June 8 in Modesto.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 17 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, June 18 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2827 Topeka St., Riverbank. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 17 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service.
Pedro was born in Michoacan, Mexico in 1941. He was the owner of a landscaping business for nine years and attended St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Riverbank. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Santiago Gomez and his wife, Carmen, Jose Gomez and his wife, Lily, and Pedro Gomez, all of Ceres; daughters, Alicia Chavira and her husband, Omar, of Ceres, Elvira Lopez and her husband, Rafael, of San Jose, Teresa Garcia and her husband, Jose, of San Jose, Leticia Carrillo and her husband, Leonardo, of San Jose, and Conseuelo Ahumada and her husband, Pedro, of Salinas; brothers, Jose Ma Gomez of Madera and Guadalupe Gomez of Mexico; sisters, Anita Gomez of Washington, Evangelina Gomez of Mexico and Elvira Gomez of Mexico; 28 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
