Raenell (Kirkes) Muzio was born in Turlock on Nov. 6, 1937, and passed peacefully in Clovis, CA, on July 11, 2022, in the presence of family.

Raenell graduated from Turlock High School in 1955 and received her nursing degree from Samuel Merritt School of Nursing (now Samuel Merritt University) in Oakland. Raenell was a registered nurse and spent most of her career caring for patients at Emanuel Medical Center. After retirement, she served on the board of the Turlock Historical Society and enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

While married to David Muzio, they had two children: Sheryl, of Clovis, California and Steven, of Asheville, North Carolina. She had seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight Kirkes and Alma (Lawson/Kirkes) Husby and her son-in-law, John Milhous.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Turlock Historical Society or the Friends of Turlock Animal Shelter.

Funeral services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home on Friday, August 5, 2022. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with a service at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, Raenell will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
