Ramona was born in Oklahoma to Charles and Dona Nichols and passed away at the age of 85.  She earned her Master’s Degree and attended Merced College, Chapman University and Golden State University.  Ramona was a professor and teacher for over 30 years, teaching at Merced College, and a variety of Atwater schools.  She left a lasting impact on her students, and still had contact with some. Ramona was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with family.  Her hobbies included painting, ceramics, crochet and quilting.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Mike) Sprinkel of Idaho; grandchildren Tami Beebe, Chad Blake, Raymond Blake and Robert Blake; eight great grandchildren Alexis, Nicholas, Gracie, Emma, Beau, Layla, Jett and Tiera.  Ramona was preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Ray” Quincy Blake; son Bobby Ray Blake and her parents.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 3:00-7:00p.m. Funeral will be at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Turlock on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:30a.m. followed by a luncheon at Allen Event Center 239 N Broadway and burial at Winton Cemetery District.  Please share your memories at www.AllenMortuary.com.
