Ramona died peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of October 23, 2017.  She was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 14, 1931 to Leon and Alice Beck.  At a young age, she moved to Turlock, CA where she lived for the remainder of her life.  

She worked in the business office of the phone company, where she met her husband of 44 years, Bill Butterworth. Ramona loved to cook and drink wine with her friends and family, read, and visit with her friends during her weekly trip to the beauty salon.  It’s not an exaggeration to say she was an outstanding cook.   Bill and Ramona had many fun times snowmobiling, and going out on the delta with their boat.  After Bill retired, they enjoyed cruises and road trips driving across the country.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill on March 4, 2011.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (Lincoln) Carnes, Dan (Laura) Ringer, grandchildren, Beth (Jackson) Ford, Meghan Ringer, Colin Carnes, and Nicholas Carnes.  She also has one great-granddaughter, Emily Ann Ford.  

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, immediately followed by a reception, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
