Raymond Nicholson, 74, of Modesto, passed away on June 3. Raymond was born in Banner, Ariz. to Henry and Maggie Nicholson in 1936. He lived most of his adult life in California. In 1997, he settled in Modesto. Raymond was a minister for International Gospel Assemblies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being a carpenter. He loved helping people in need.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Rachel Nicholson; children, Sandra Kwasney of Edmonds, Wash., Anna Burns of Frederick, Md. and Crystal Kukle of Turlock; sisters, Mary Morgan of Modesto and Lucy Loubey of Florence, Ore.; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six siblings.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8 at Allen Mortuary, with burial following at Ceres Memorial Park.
