“Red” St.Clair

Red St.Clair, 72 of Denair, died suddenly doing what he loved best, team roping in Livermore, CA on May 13, 2018.  Red was born in Arizona and settled in Denair in 1979.  He started The Carpet Man store in 1983.  His passion was Team Roping since the age of 15.  Red served as Past President of Turlock Horsemen’s Club where he had been a member since 1979.  He earned a Lifetime achievement award and served as California Director for the American Cowboy Team Roping Association.  He was also a member of World Series Team Roping Association.


Red is survived by his wife Ellen St.Clair of Denair; son David St.Clair of Modesto; daughter Shelli Mendonca of Washington; two granddaughters Megan Mendonca and Danielle Brandburn both of Washington; and his sister Ann Moren of Denair.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4pm on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at Turlock Horsemen’s Club located at 1506 South Tegner Rd in Turlock.
