Richard Eugene Gibbs, 64, of Hilmar, CA, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2018.

Richard was born in June of 1954, in Avenal, CA, to James and Lilly Gibbs. He was employed for many years at Valley Fresh Foods, and then at Sunnyside Farms until his retirement in 1998.

He loved his family, loved his basketball shorts and white T-shirts, and most of all he loved Jesus. Richard had a big heart and went out of his way to help anyone in need.

Richard is survived by children, Tony and Heather Rodriguez and Mark and Jennifer Harrell; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings Colleen (Wylie) McAbee  and Patricia (John) Sisk.  Richard was preceded in death, now reunited with, his parents, his loving wife of 33 years, Jan Gibbs (Woodward), son Richie Gibbs, daughter Cristy Gibbs, brother James Gibbs and his sister Lilly Cole.  

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Allen’s Mortuary on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 1:00pm.  A short reception will be held following the service at Hilmar Country Club Estates Clubhouse, 19667 American Avenue Hilmar, CA.  Please share your memories at www.AllenMortuary.com.
