Richard James Panter, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on August 8, 2017.  He was born on November 13, 1935 in Van Nuys, California to his parents, Dick and Evelyn Panter.  He was 81 years of age.

Born In Van Nuys, California, his family decided to move to Turlock, California where they spent 20 years there,  where he met and eventually married his love of his life, Shirley.  They were married in Turlock, California in 1960.  Richard and Shirley then went on to live in Oxnard and Roseville, California, for a total of forty years.  It was in 2001, when they decided it was time for another change, and ended up moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where they have resided ever since.

Richard was employed as an Automotive Technician for Cadillac and Chevrolet and retired after dedicating 39 years of his working career for his love of cars. 

Richard had a lifelong interest in boats, cars, and drag racing, either as a participant or as a spectator.  Most of all, he loved and cherished his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Evelyn Panter and son, Gregory Panter.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 57 years, Shirley Panter, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sons, Ronald Panter, of Oxnard, California and Guy Panter, of Temecula, California; sister, Susan McBride, of Lake Village, Arkansas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard’s final resting place will be in Turlock, California at a later date.
