Richard Olson, 59, passed away on Saturday. He resided in Coulterville at the time of his death, but he was a long-time resident of Turlock.
Richard was born and raised in Turlock and worked for 20 years at Montpelier Orchards. He also owned Olson Fabricating for several years and worked as a mechanic for the Turlock Police Department.  He enjoyed walking in the hills, traveling and visiting with friends. He also loved senior breakfasts at Black Oaks where he socialized with his friends.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 14 years, Barbara Olson. Together they enjoyed traveling and had a special passion for taking trips to Yosemite.
Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara. He also leaves behind his father, Donald Olson; sons, Richard Olson Jr., Shand Olson, Travis Olson, Joseph Briley, all from Denair; daughters, Selaine Miranda from Missouri and Alana Briley from Denair; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Rick is loved by many people and will be missed. Everybody who knew Rick loved him. We all love you and miss you greatly.
