Roberta Shaver, 93, of Hilmar, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Crows Landing Chapel, 18601 Crows Landing Rd., Crows Landing, with burial to follow in Hilmar.
Roberta was born in New Jersey to James and Mary Hornbeck, and has lived in the Hilmar area since 1966. She was a proud member of the Hilmar Horsemen’s Club, VFW Auxiliary of Delhi/Livingston, Friends of the Library in Hilmar and a member of the Relief Society of the LDS Church.
Roberta is survived by her children, Geraldine Lisle of Hilmar, Barbara Jean Holland of Sacramento and James Van Vranken of Chowchilla; sister, Dorothy Sorrell of Turlock; 28 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Roberta is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Lambert.
