Rosalin Sarkissian was born on July 7th, 1948 to Isaac and Margaret Sarkissian In the country of Iran. She spent her childhood in the city of Abadan in Southern Iran, and her teen years in the city of Teheran. She immigrated to America in 1979 and settled in Turlock for what would be the next 40 plus years. Once here, Rosalin worked as a volunteer at Medic Alert for over 30 years, earning many awards for her service. The highlight was her being chosen Medic Alert’s Volunteer of the Year in 2003. Even though she was born with a speech impediment that made it difficult for her to be understood, she found ways to communicate. For years she wrote the questions for a local Assyrian television game show. She also wrote numerous letters to the Turlock Journal Editor. Those at Calvary Baptist Church remember the monthly devotionals she wrote in Newsletters and Bulletins for many years. She was a talented, faithful servant of the Lord who knew what it meant to overcome adversity. She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her sisters Rosette Scheib and Greenet Cannon and brother Benyamin Sarkissian, as well as her beloved brother-in-laws Paul and Edison, sister-in-law, Helen, niece Brenda and nephew Branden. She passed into the presence of her Savior and Lord on November 29th, 2022.
