Samuel “Sam” Benjamin, 92, of Turlock, was born to Nimrod and Nancy Benjamin at the old Emanuel Hospital.  He passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Monday.

Sam graduated from Turlock High School in 1942 and in 1961 relocated to Portland, OR, where he was a self-employed vacuum cleaner dealer for 35 years.  He returned to his Turlock roots a year ago.

Mr. Benjamin is survived by his sisters, Ruth and Esther Benjamin, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, David Benjamin.

A visitation will be held on Mon., Dec. 8, at Turlock Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be conducted at the same location on Tues., Dec. 9, at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
