Sharon M. (Achondo) Howze, 44, collapsed during an organized run and was called home to God’s grace unexpectedly. She passed peacefully with all those who loved her by her side to wish her farewell.
Nobody lived life to its fullest more than Sharon. Always on the go between the demanding activities of her three teenage sons, her work as an Adapted Physical Education Specialist for Stanislaus County and as the bookkeeper for her husband’s veterinary practice. In her free time, Sharon loved to run and had just completed her dream of running a full Marathon along with her youngest son in March of this year. She also served as the assistant track & field coach for Denair High School. Sharon was also very active in the First United Methodist Church of Turlock where she often helped teach Sunday School.
Sharon touched so many lives in so many ways that her loss is indescribable. She was the proudest mother in the world of her three sons Trey (17), Trenton (15) & Tynan (13). She took an active role in their educational, spiritual & scouting lives serving as an adult scouting leader in Troop 451. Sharon was most proud of what fine young community involved men they have become and that Trey had just reached the rank of Eagle Scout while Trenton has completed his Eagle project and is near completion Eagle Rank and Tynan is soon to begin work on his Eagle Scout Rank.
Sharon was the  beloved wife of Dr. Ted Howze for nearly 20 years. Sharon and Ted met while attending the University of California at Davis where both were studying for Bachelor of Science Degrees in Exercise Physiology. As a couple they quickly became inseparable and were married on July 31st, 1993 in Davis, CA. After receiving her B.S. from UC Davis, Sharon attended Cal State Sacramento where she received her Adapted Physical Education degree and teaching credential. The couple relocated first to Ceres, CA in 1994 then to Turlock, CA in 1999 where their family put down broad community roots. A strong love of family united Sharon and Ted as true soul mates for eternity.
Sharon is survived by her Father and Mother, Daniel & Linda Achondo of Sacramento, CA. as well as her two brothers Dan Jr. (Hemali) Achondo of Sacramento and Todd (Arianna) Achondo of Elk Grove.
The family will hold a private service and a public celebration of Sharon’s life will be announced at a later date. Sharon would ask that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to : The Society for the Handicapped, 1129 8th St # 101  Modesto, CA 95354.
