Simano Samano, 74, of Modesto, died Oct. 17 in Modesto. Services were held at St. George Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East.
Simano was born in 1935 in Mosul, Iraq. He was a clerk for the Employment Office for two years and a member of St. George Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East of Ceres.
He is survived by his wife, Younia Michael of Modesto; sons, Dinkah Samano and Sargon Samano, both of Canada; daughter, Helen Samano of Modesto; brother, Slewoo Samano; sister, Margaret Samano; and grandchildren, Andrew Samano, Alex Samano, Grace Samano, Emmanuel Samano and Samuel Samano.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
