Troy Daniel Murphy went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the age of 73.  He was born in Oakland, California and raised in Castro Valley where he graduated Castro Valley High School in 1963.  Troy moved to Hayward in 1973 until he settled in Turlock in 1991.  He worked in construction as a Metal Framer in the Bay Area for 43 years.  Troy was an avid fast pitch softball player and a member of Folsom Baptist Church in Hayward.  

Troy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sara Murphy; daughter Stacie Murphy; son Sean (Kari) Murphy all of Turlock; grandson Sean Paul Murphy of Danville; siblings Diane (Ken) Capp; Mary (Don) Hanson; and Stephen Murphy all of Oregon; mother Helen Murphy of Oregon; Sister-in-law Mary McMullen of Turlock; Aunt Charlene Murphy of Clearlake; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to California Autism Foundation 4075 Lakeside Drive, Richmond, California 94806. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018, 1pm at Allen Mortuary located at 247 N.
