Tura Mae Lewis, 95, passed away March 3, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. She was born June 1914 in Texas and spent most of her life in Orenco, Ore. She worked as a grocery checker for 21 years at Cruse’s Grocery in Hillsboro, Ore. She lived in Walla Walla before she settled in Turlock 10 years ago. Spending time with her grandkids and socializing with people were the highlights of her life.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her daughter, Ethel Louise Goiburn of Turlock; grandchildren, Tony, Nick, Tim and Troy; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 at Allen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 atTurlock Memorial Park.
