Violet Leone Vi Keller
September 1934 December 2012
Keller Obit

Violet Leone Keller entered into rest Wednesday, December 19, 2012.  She was 78 years of age.   She was born on September 1, 1934, in North Dakota to Joseph and Emma Dauenhauer.  Violet relocated to the California bay area in 1962 and then came to the Central Valley where she resided for the past 20 years.
She is survived by her five children:  Wade (Lisa) Keller of Brentwood, CA; DeeArland (Mark) Johansen – Bias from San Jose, CA; Bill (Amy) Keller from Pleasanton, CA; Grant Keller from Fremont, CA; Nadine (Kurt) McKenzie from Turlock, CA; beautiful grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Vi spent many years working for the Union City school district as a yard duty supervisor due to her love for children.  She could be found jumping rope with kids laughing and keeping the hallways safe at James Logan High School.  She then went on to work for Friden Alcatel as shipping and receiving expeditor for 20 years.
Vi will always be remembered for her larger than life personality.   Her laughter, jokes, smiles, and amazing, unbelievable, one of a kind sense of humor has made a lasting affect on all who have crossed her path.  She will also be remembered for her love of the color purple and her passion for her black and white cow collection, consisting of over 800 cows.
Vi loved watching Joel Osteen and attending her church on Sundays. Vi cherished the beautiful friends and friendships she built over the years.
She will be deeply missed as a mother, grandmother, sister and friend; she is the heart of a home and the joy of our family.  We will miss her heartfelt words of advice, support and encouragement.  In lieu of flower donations can be made in her honor to Northside Assembly of God.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Assembly of God, 200 North Avenue, Turlock, with a reception to follow at the church hall.
