Thomas “Wade” Cockrell, born February 26, 1957 in Clovis, New Mexico,  passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at home surrounded by the family he loved and cared for during his life. Wade was 56 years old. His transition was peaceful, after a yearlong battle with cancer. While Wade had a great many friends his greatest pride and joy were his two daughters Lindsay and Shelby. He often referred to them as his greatest accomplishments!
Wade is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jeanette Cockrell, his daughters, Lindsay Kaepernick (Kyle) and Shelby Stidham (Matt). He is also survived by his father and mother, Lloyd and Betty Cockrell, brother, Joel Cockrell, and sister, Carol Cockrell all of Turlock, CA.
Wade worked for Turlock Irrigation District (TID) for approximately 35 years, before retiring in March of 2012. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and will always be remembered for his kind demeanor and friendly smile.
Graveside services will be held at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
