Walter Silva

Walter Silva, 70, of Turlock passed away at home on Sunday, July 24. He was born and raised in Turlock. He had attended Mitchell School and worked as a heavy equipment operator for George Silva Dairy and Souza Spreading. He had attended House of Prayer in Oakdale. He was a member of the Out of Bounders RV Club and also liked gardening, fishing, raising animals and entertaining. He also was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts. God and family were his life.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Gloria Silva of Turlock; children Gary Santos of Hilmar, Forrest Silva of Hughson, Sherrie Silva of Kansas, Michael Silva of Oakdale, Kevin Silva of Modesto, Kurt Silva of Modesto, and Jeannie Bell of Turlock; siblings William Silva, George Silva, Virginia Thormitis, and Joe Silva; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, July 27 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, July 28 at 10:00 am. with a reception following at the American Legion Hall, 75 Bothun Rd Turlock. A private burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
