Wayne passed away on January 28, 2016 at home surrounded by family.  He died of natural causes.  He was 90 years old.  Wayne was born in Jacksonville, Ca..  His parents were Earl & Verna Penrose.  He was raised in Jacksonville, Ca & attended local schools.

He entered the military service during World War II, serving in the U.S. Army & later serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

 His survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lavonne; daughters Casilda Hall (Bert), Dolores West (John), Debra Larson (Richard) & Verna Reeder (Jerry).  He is also survived by two brothers; Allen Penrose & Robert Penrose, two sisters; Dolores Puppe & Juanita Black, 6 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren.   Preceding him in death are his parents, 1 sister, four brothers & 1 grandson.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, 2/08/16 at 10:30 a.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, Ca, located at 32053 West McCabe Road.

Additionally, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, 2/12/16 at 12:00 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Turlock, Ca, located at 640 Minaret Ave.
