Our community owes a debt of gratitude to our essential workers who put their lives on the line every day to ensure our community is as safe as possible.  This includes doctors, nurses, law enforcement officers, truck drivers, delivery drivers, grocery store workers and others.  Rep. Harder recognizes the risk our essential workers face every time they show up to work, not only to themselves, but also to their families. 

As a result, Rep. Harder is fighting for hazard pay and protections for these heroes.  He has called on the President to ensure these workers receive fair compensation and have updated national emergency standards to protect their health and safety while they continue working on the front lines. 

Rep. Harder is also leading a bipartisan effort with Rep. Paul Mitchell and others to ensure that our first responders receive top priority for coronavirus testing.   

It is such a relief to know that in such difficult times we have a representative who will fight for us and backs up his words with actions.
