Here we are starting a brand new year in a brand new position. I will to officially say thank you to the Turlock voters of the newly formed District 2. According to the official election results, 3,876 of you stepped up and voted in this election; that is over 66 percent of our District saying "YES" we are here and we choose to be represented.
I also want to thank all my family, friends and supporters throughout the community who helped me either financially, physically or morally. I received much encouragement; it made me want to work harder to achieve this historic accomplishment.
I have reached out to Mr. Franco and thanked him for running a civil campaign. We both wanted to focus on the issues of our District rather than any of the antics that you saw in many other local and national campaigns. I have asked Mr. Franco to stay involved and stay active in the needs of District 2. I welcome his assistance and his views on how we can improve our district and our community.
I also asked Councilman Nascimento to stay involved and welcomed any assistance he may offer in keeping our current City Council focused on representing the needs of the city.
So, thank you all for helping me arrive at this juncture; I look forward to being an effective representative for the City of Turlock.
