Storer gives this parent one less thing to worry about

Dear Editor,

I am writing on behalf of my son who has autism and attends school in the Turlock Unified School District.  For the past four years Storer has been providing transportation for our child.  Year after year our son is delivered to and from school in a safe manner with drivers who treat our son with dignity and respect.

Storer has amazing drivers who genuinely care about our children with special needs.  Each and every day come sun shine, or rain, or as we’ve had lately fog, Storer transports the most vulnerable members of our society to and from school.  Storer deserves an honorable mention.  Storer has been serving our family for four years.  Recently our son changed schools and Velma, who is the supervisor in charge of transportation for children with special needs, exceeded our expectations and went out of her way to help support our family’s needs.  Cathy has been Adam’s bus driver for several years.  She serves as our family’s hero because she helps Adam get to school so mom can get to work.  Even when our Adam doesn’t have the shiniest disposition, Cathy makes sure she remains calm and oh so pleasant, which in turn helps Adam get to school.

As a mother with a special needs child so many challenges are stacked against us each and every day.  I can honestly say that Storer helps us alleviate some of those challenges and gives us as parents one less thing to worry about.  So the next time you see the Storer yellow bus riding around town give the driver a smile and a wave.  They are transporting our most precious and vulnerable group of children in s safe and respectful manner.  And this parent appreciates them more than they will ever know!
