After winning this year’s Central California Athletic League championship by pulling off a six-game winning streak to end the regular season, as well as winning their opening playoff game by a 25-6 score over Sheldon, it’s no surprise that the Turlock High flag football program dominated the all-league list.

With a 16-7 overall record, and a 13-2 record against conference opponents, Bulldogs head coach Aaron King was named Coach of the Year. One of his top offensive threats, Makenli Watt, took home Most Valuable Player honors.

Watt, a sophomore, was lethal in the slot, racking up 1,544 yards and 26 touchdowns on 127 receptions and rushing for another 379 yards and six scores on 34 rushes. Defensively, she had 55 tackles and a sack.

Pitman, a runner-up at 12-3 in CCAL play, had sophomore Isabel Fuentes named Defensive Player of the Year with over 100 tackles and 10 sacks on the season.

Named to the All-CCAL First Team were Josslyn Crittendon, Mia Valencia, Mara Gemperle and  Natalie Ledesma of Turlock, as well as Patricia Bray, Emily Martinez, Ashli Mendoza and Ivy Butler of Pitman.

The Bulldogs had Marley Hernandez, Alondra Medel, Hailey Howe and Audrey Bailey named to the Second Team alongside the Pride’s Shelby Wood, Holland Delay, Emily Medina and Ela Johnson.

Turlock’s Bella Moran and Pitman’s Jasmine Bedoya were honorable mentions.
